Real reefs to close
Real Reefs will be closing on Saturday 12th of April 2025.
Unfortunately due to several factors I have made the difficult decision to close the shop on a permanent basis.
Trade has been very slow for a while. The economy certainly hasn't helped as people on the whole have less disposable income for hobbies like this. Covid also pushed people more to online shopping and that trend hasn't reversed. The end result is that the shop is becoming less-profitable. I also have taken into account that our four year electricity contract comes to an end in January 2026 and I would anticipate a large hike to the already huge monthly bill which would cripple the business.
I'd like to thank all of Real Reefs' loyal customers for their support over the 23 years that I've run the shop and wish you all well on your reef keeping journey!

We offer a large selection of corals to suit every taste. There are 7 aquariums in a 3000 litre system dedicated to every variety of coral. From large to small we have a great choice of SPS, LPS and soft corals. Lighting and water flow are tailored to suit each family of coral to bring out the best that they have to offer.
Over 100 varieties available
Fully quarantined for 3 weeks, all of our fish are guaranteed to be in the peak of health and feeding well. We have all of the main families of marine fish covered, from large to small, rare to every day staples. Our fish system holds 3000 litres of water and is maintained in optimal conditions by state of the art filtration.

We carry all of the useful invertebrates known as "clean up crew" that will help to maintain your reef aquarium in the peak of health. We also stock some more decorative species to add interest and flare to your aquarium.
